Very poor customer service

I ordered a pair of dance shoes as a chritmas gift for my daughter. I would not recommend this company. Very poor customer service. When I received them I was disappointed that they were defective. The bottom soles were completely different. On one shoe sole the bottom was heavily sueded. Then other shoe had almost none. I've never seen anything like this before. I'd love to post the picture showing the detail. I emailed the company (with very detailed pictures) and I was informed that I would have to pay the $15.00 restocking and the return shipping anyway, even though they were defective. After several frustrating emails back and forth, and a phone call from a company representative, I was finally given a return label and informed that I would not be charged the restocking fee. When I received the refund weeks later, I was charged the restocking. Since I thought this may have been an oversight, I emaiiled the company and was told that the refund for the restocking fee was not approved. No apology was given. I basically just told "too bad", and that I was lucky that I even received a return mailing label. I understand why companies charge restocking fees, but should this be the practice with obviously defective shoes. On top of the fact that the soles were defective, the quality of the shoes were poor. I will not be doing business with this company in the future and do not recommend this company. My daughter has passed this info along to her fellow dance teachers at Arthur Murray.
